The Youth
Orchestra was born from the Musical Experimental Center for Children as natural point of arrival in the musical and didactic
path of each student; the Cesmi in fact has among its principal
goals
that of favoring the integration and the musical and spiritual growth
of children through playing music together which is encouraged from
the start of their musical traing.
The opening in the 2003 of the CeSMI
Center in Rome has facilitated
the growth of a complete section of strings, creating the
possibility of studying the orchestral repertoire.
With the help of
an arranger and composer of talent, it has been possible to create a
program to include in the orchestra all the young students of the Center,
that is the strings, the flutes, the harps, the pianos and even the voices. The
enthusiastic response of the participants has influenced and excited also
musicians professionals who have devoted their time and their
professionalism to play together with the young musicians in the orchestra.
Currently the
orchestra is composed of about thirty students coming from the two centers
of the CeSMI (Viterbo and Rome).
